Enter your design parameters, generate a bill of material, and submit for ordering for estimating.
Select a configurator based on your system type to get started.
The Engineered System Configurator is a convenient tool for generating a complete bill of material to utilize for estimation and ordering.
This tool is intended for use with single and multi-zone applications that are protecting individual enclosures. It is the responsibility of the user to be Certified in the design of Victaulic Vortex Hybrid Fire Extinguishing Systems, to determine the applicable design method selection utilized in the estimator, and to reference specific design guidance in Victaulic manuals, applicable codes and standards, and Listings/Approvals. Explore the applicable design methods below or click to begin a new project.
The Pre-Engineered System Configurator tool must be used to generate system parameters and a complete bill of material to utilize for ordering and installation.
This tool is intended for use with single zone applications that are protecting individual enclosures. It is the responsibility of the user to be Certified in the Installation, Testing and Maintenance of Victaulic Vortex Hybrid Fire Extinguishing Systems and to be capable of determining the applicable design method selection for the protected area. Reference to specific design guidance can be found in Victaulic manuals, applicable codes and standards and Listings/Approvals. Class A/C applications for Vortex include expected fires that occur when common combustible materials like wood, paper, fabric, trash, plastics, and cabling catch fire.
Class B applications for Vortex include expected fires that occur when flammable liquids, especially fuels, gasoline, paint, kerosene, and lubrication oils are ignited in various quantities.
Data Center applications for Vortex included expected fires in areas where energized electrical equipment and cabling are used in power supply areas, data processing halls, and storage of spare cables. These areas also typically include other Class A/C combustible materials.
Machinery space applications for Vortex typically include areas of processing, operation, and backup power generation and associated fuel storage, that include Class B flammable liquids being used as fuels and lubricants in machinery in a normally unoccupied space.
Turbine applications for Vortex include power generation areas that will typically require a pre-determined amount of time to "run-down" which the Vortex system shall be discharged until complete. These areas typically contain Class B flammable liquids being used as fuels and lubricants as the potential fire.
